Hi! I’m Leah Elkins, a dog-loving outdoor enthusiast from Charleston, SC. I’m an Outdoor Recreation Leadership/Outdoor Education double major. I chose to be an RA so I could help facilitate a fun campus community and help other college students be successful. I love working with people, and I especially love hiking and kayaking in my free time. My goal this year is to read more.

My name is Mitch Volz and I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am in the Outdoor Recreation Leadership program. I wanted to be an RA because I want to help new students fall in love with CMC like how I did. My favorite things to do are mountain biking, snowboarding, sea kayaking and hiking. My goal for this year is to eat.

Aaron Hagan

My name is Aaron Hagan, I’m from South Pekin Illinois, and I am currently majoring in Environmental Studies at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville. I will graduate in December with my Associate Degree and transfer to a University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. I applied for the RA position to develop my leadership and interpersonal skills while connecting students with the resources they need to complete their degrees. My favorite things to do are running, painting, singing, advocating for environmentalism, binge-watching Netflix and scrolling for memes. My goal for the year is to finish my degree in December and to make an inspirational speech for graduation in May.

Hi my name is Gabbie, I’m a transplant from Kansas, and I’m studying Environmental Science with a hope to go for a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry at Northern Arizona University when I’m finished here. I chose to be an RA to continue trying new things and enter a leadership position for the first time. I love going on hikes (Mt. Falcon is my favorite hike so far), watching movies (Jim Henson’s Labyrinth is my fave), and learning something new every day. I am focusing on bettering my grades and eliminating my procrastinating ways this year, and I am so excited to meet all of you!

Brooke Larson

Hey! My name is Brooke and I am the Assistant Coordinator of Student Life. My main priority is to make sure all the students have a safe, secure and fun environment to live in and have a successful career as a student at CMC.

I studied Photography at CMC – Spring Valley and during my time there I was an RA and SRA. This is my second year working as a professional staff member, and I absolutely love being in the CMC community! I am a student myself, working on my Bachelor’s in Leadership and Management.

My office is located inside Mountain View Residence Hall. Please stop by and let me know what programs you’d like to see on campus, or if there is any way I can help you have an amazing experience in our residence hall.
